Types of skin rashes

Types of skin rashes differ due to the appearance, nature and appearance of skin rashes. Rashes on the skin can be compared with its surface or protrude above it. Outstanding rashes are papules and blisters, ulcers and plaques. Papule is a type of skin rash in the form of a small pimple. A plaque is a rash slightly protruding above the surface of the skin. Blisters and blisters are types of skin rashes that are distinguished by thin walls with a cavity inside, filled with liquid.

A separate type of rash is a skin rash, which can be single or multiple. The color of the rash may vary slightly from skin color or contrast sharply with it. The rash can spill both on the skin and on the mucous membranes of the human body. When determining the causes of a rash, it is necessary to pay attention to its symmetry and localization. An asymmetric rash in the form of single blisters may indicate that a person was bitten by insects. In addition to paying attention to skin manifestations, it is necessary to take into account the general symptoms for establishing the disease – body temperature, weakness, swelling of the lymph nodes.

Types of skin rashes that look like red or brown spots are subcutaneous hematomas if they do not disappear when pressed. The cause of such rashes on the skin may be diseases of hemorrhagic origin, in which the blood coagulation is upset.

Types of skin rashes – purple

Dermatological purpura is a series of diseases that are characterized by mild hemorrhages in the upper layers of the skin. As a result, areas of red and burgundy hue appear on the skin, hence the name.

The occurrence of purpura is related to the insufficiency of the cellular constituents of the blood, which are responsible for its coagulation, or to a violation of the vascular system and platelet disturbances even with their normal amount.

Treatment of purpura

Even in the case of a mild disease, when there is no hemorrhage in the mucous membranes and the retina of the eye, it is necessary to appear to a dermatologist, even if there is no need for special therapy. This is necessary to exclude such serious diseases as, for example, lupus or leukemia.

Types of skin rashes – urticaria

Approximately twenty percent of people at different stages of life suffer from urticaria. With hives, a rash occurs unexpectedly in the absence of other symptoms. As a rule, urticaria is localized on the body, on the skin of the face, on the mucous membranes. In this case, the affected area may itch. Rashes can disappear without intervention literally two days later. In some cases, in addition to rashes, a fever, runny nose and gastrointestinal tract disorders can be observed.

Urticaria treatment

Due to the fact that urticaria is an allergic disease, it is necessary to try to establish which irritant caused the disease and to limit the person’s contact with this allergen. Urticaria is usually caused by drugs or food. Sometimes urticaria can occur due to plants or due to exposure to aggressive chemicals.

Types of skin rashes – dermatitis

Dermatitis occurs due to exposure to the skin of corrosive or abrasive compounds, for example, citrus fruit juice, or cosmetics. If a person has an allergy, for example, to the active substance of a dishwashing detergent, then dermatitis will occur after contact with him.

Dermatitis treatment

The most important rule is to limit contact with the active substance that causes dermatitis. To relieve itching and redness, menthol alcohol infusion is used.
